In a Cellar

Cellar. A metaphor for a place where things are stored, where memories and events, that do not seem to play crucial roles in our lifes are hidden.

"In a Cellar", an international site specific theatre project performed inside the massiv cellar of Sladovna Písek, is both a physial and a mental excursion to a place, where the past comes to life and again pushes it's way to the surface. It's a world of our subconscious, the world of mothballed memories and frozen dreams. The world of forgotten things.

What have we forgotten? As individuals, as a society?

The performance does not seek answers in text, but in movement and material, in the sound of the human voice and the sound of space, the rhythm, light, color and shape. Inside of rooms filled with soil, sand, wood or water.
