Mona Krueger is a professional puppeteer, actress and musician currently engaged at the Municipal Theatre of Chemnitz, Germany.

Born and raised in Finland, she started studying music (violin) at the age of seven. With her Finnish mother and German father strongly supporting their daughter's creative tendencies, she moved away from home at the age of 15 to attend an expressive arts high school in Tampere, Finland.

Mona later studied acting in the Finnish Theatre School in Tampere, and acted in a series "Alavilla mailla hallan vaara" (Frost Danger in Low Lands) for the Finnish national television (YLE TV1). After discovering the fantastical world and endless possibilities of puppetry, she completed her bachelor studies in Turku Arts Academy studying puppetry and visual theatre, on the side takin lessons in classical singing at the Turku Conservatory.

Mona's internship for the school in Turku led her to study pantomime in Die Etage in Berlin, Germany. There she also played in "Hommage an Marcel Marceau", directed by Marceau's own student and assistant Lionel Ménard.

The joy of discovering similarities in puppetry, pantomime and dance led her to develope her own unique physical and visual language. During and after her studies she has been working internationally with groups such as AKHE (Russia), Divadlo CONTINUO (Czech Republic), Das letzte Kleinod (Germany), Teatteri Qo (Finland), and performing at various festivals, theatres and events around Europe.
